Samvaad Workshop by Rashmi Pushkar Papalkar Elevates Communication Skills of Admin, Teaching and Non Teaching staff members of Sanskar Bharati Trust.


The three days Communicatoon Enhancement workshop 'Samvaad' was held under the patronage of Sanskar Bharati Trust from 29th March 2024 to 31st March 2024. The workshop served as a platform for participants to refine their communication abilities, fostering effective interactions within the educational environment. Through engaging sessions and practical exercises, attendees were equipped with invaluable techniques to facilitate clearer expression and meaningful dialogue.

Rashmi Pushkar Papalkar's expertise and insightful guidance proved instrumental in empowering participants to navigate various communication scenarios with confidence and proficiency. Her internationally recognized methodologies inspired attendees to embrace communication as a tool for fostering understanding and collaboration within educational settings.

Workshop on Self-Empowerment and Public Speaking for students


An enlightening workshop on self-empowerment techniques, coupled with a dynamic session on public speaking, was organized for the students of Smt Maniba Chunilal Patel Sanskar Vidya Bhavan on November 6th, 2023 in Thakur Omkarnath Auditorium. The event was graced by Shri Jugal Kishor Ruia, Trustee Sanskar Bharti Trust, Shri Kulwant Marwal, Campus Director Rungta Vidya Bhavan and Rukmanidevi Rungta Vidyalaya and Mrs Sharmila Das Principal cum Administrator of Smt Maniba Chunilal Patel Sanskar Vidya Bhavan.

The workshop featured prominent experts, an internationally acclaimed Soft Skills Trainer and the founder of RPTS , Pune Ms. Rashmi Pushkar Papalkar and Expert Faculty Yashda Mr. Ashish Gurav.

Ms. Rashmi Pushkar Papalkar, an accomplished public speaking coach, conducted a resourceful session, where she shared invaluable tips and strategies to improve students' public speaking skills. The students were encouraged to express themselves confidently, articulately, and persuasively.

Mr. Ashish Gurav the Motivational Speaker on Emotional Intelligence and self-empowerment, engaged the students with insightful techniques to boost their self-confidence and enhance their self-awareness. He emphasized the importance of setting goals, developing a positive mindset, and overcoming obstacles in life.

The workshops left students with a renewed sense of self-empowerment and improved public speaking abilities.

TEACHERS Capacity Building Program: Empowering Educators for Excellence


The TEACHERS Capacity Building and Empowerment program, Renaissance, unfolded its chapters of learning and inspiration on November 5, 2023, at Hotel Regenta. The event garnered significance as it brought together eminent figures in the education realm, setting the stage for a transformative experience.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Shri Srijan Pal Singh,an author, scientist and Advisor to Former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. whose presence added prestige, along with Guest of Honour Shri Mukesh Chaudhary. The illustrious dignitaries Shri Madhusudhan Rungta, Managing Trustee of Sanskar Bharti Trust, Trustee Shri Jugal Kishor Ruia, Shri Devendra Singh Principal, Vallabh Ashram, and Ms. Lutfiya Saiyad, Principal of Shri N.C Patel and C.V Patel Brilliant English Academy and Motivational Speaker Shri Ashish Gurav graced the Function with their motivational presence.

The program featured two thought-provoking panel discussions. Cyber Safety Workshop - Empowering Students in the Digital Age


Mrs. Dipali Gandhi led an engaging Cyber Safety Workshop on November 2, 2023. Focused on enhancing students' understanding of online risks, the workshop covered topics such as online privacy, secure browsing habits, and identifying cyber threats. Through interactive sessions, students gained practical skills to navigate the digital landscape responsibly. This workshop played a pivotal role in fostering a safer online environment for the participating students.

Health And Wellness Seminar By UNESCO For Teachers


UNESCO organised Capacity Building Programme on School Health and Wellness on 15th February 2023 for Principals and Wellness Teachers.The Principal Mrs. Sharmila Das, Vice Principal Mrs. Shailja Singh and the Counselor Mrs. Sindhu Sunil attended the enlightening and engaging session.

The resource person Ms. Sarita Jadav, the National Program Officer Wellness Health and Education, UNESCO enabled the participants to develop a finer understanding of school health and wellness.The session covered a wide range of themes, from growing up healthy to emotional well being and mental health, interpersonal relationships, gender equality, value and citizenship, nutrition, health and sanitation, prevention and management of substance abuse, promotion of healthy lifestyle and reproductive health.

It was a resourceful session which emphasized the need of having two Health and Wellness Ambassadors in each school to ensure the Health and Wellness of the students.

Seminar on 'Awareness Of Cyber Crimes & Prevention'


Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan organized “Cyber Crime and Prevention Seminar” on 17th February 2023 to create consciousness about cyber security and cyber crime among students and faculty members. There were nearly six hundred student participants and 18 faculty members participants who attended the seminar.

Officials from Cyber Crime Police Department, Bharuch - Mrs. Bhavanaben Maheria Police Inspector, Mr.Rajendrabhai Aasistant Sub Inspector, Mr. Vipinbhai technical Police Constable, Ms. Kiran ben Technical Police Constable, Ms. Mamtaben Police Constable, Mr. Sultan Police Constable were felicitated with Bouquets and Cards.

The Cyber Crime Police Officers emphasized on the need for network etiquettes in our daily life. He talked about the increasing E-frauds & Security issues and shared the internet guidelines which served as a major piece of information for everyone attending the workshop.

The Officers gave in depth knowledge of different types of Cyber Crimes such as access without permission, data theft, damaging computers, denial of access, access to unauthorised persons, identity theft, cyber staking, cyber terrorism and how to secure oneself and take precautions against such crimes which are at their peak these days.

The Speakers also discussed some cases related to social media impacts and also provision of court proceeding for Cybercrimes.

The seminar was ended with full of Information and vision of being safe and secure in the virtual world. The workshop made the students aware of the different frauds, threats, vulnerabilities possible in the world of internet and how to secure oneself against such threats.

WORKSHOP ON MATHEMATICS AND IIT FOUNDATION - MATHEMATICS TEACHING METHODOLOGY BY S. CHAND

Mr. Umesh Awze started by stating that “The Teacher is as important as the methodology. The methods of teaching should be with fun, practice, conceptual learning, and to develop the interest of the students.

The teacher should spend a lot of time in concept formation and for that the teacher has to develop their own methods in teaching and make their subject a joy to learn because mathematics is full of unusual tricks. He gave some examples – 47*48, 103*107, etc.

In Mathematics one can not use “Eat And Vomit” Strategy. Avoid saying that the question is hard, let the children try it out first. An activity called “Four skills drill” was done for Std. I to IV students.

Another activity/game based on numbers was demonstrated.
When answer sheets are being checked, the teachers should note the mistakes of the children. Also they should find out common mistakes and focus on them. They should ask the students where they are facing problems and concentrate on slow learners. During class, interactive/filler activities should be exercised with the students.
The methodologies discussed during the workshop were very useful.

Motivational Session 2022 For Students By Sajan Shah


Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan organized a Motivational Session for the Students of Std. IV to XII on 19th December 2022. Nine hundred and seventy five Students attended the Seminar.

Mr. Sajan Shah - the Youngest Motivational Speaker, Memory Man, Youth Peace Ambassador, Author, Humanitarian, Success Mentor, TEDx Speaker, Founder of United First, and working on United Nation Sustainable Development Goals, was the Keynote Speaker of the Session.

His passion is to help the youth reach self-realisation and create extra-ordinary changes in their lives so that they can unleash their hidden and dormant potential. Helping his learners to convert their dreams into reality is his most fulfilling reward. Sajan's electrifying teachings arrested the attention of the Students with his strong messages and unique style.

He gave very beneficial points and tips to the students how to increase the reading and to comprehend fast, how to increase concentration, etc.

With a self-pat exercise, he made the students realise that the best helping hand is always at the end of their own arm. With real life examples he focused on how one can program the subconscious mind to achieve success. He motivated the students to excel in their studies and career.

Workshop For English Teachers By Pearson Publication 2022


English Workshop by Pearson on LSRW and new teaching techniques was held at Swami Vivekananda school Ankleshwar by the resource person Mrs.Hema Shrivastava on 16th December 2022.

Jaimini Maharaul, Mugdha Katdare and Shweta Raval attended the Workshop.

LSRW and new teaching techniques workshop was really an eye opening workshop. It started with learning together approach. All the participants were splitted into five groups and the activities were done. Later on Mrs. Hema explained the participants what are 21st century skills and how do we implement the same in collaboration with NEP.

There were activities on each skill of LSRW. She focused more on reading strategies, SWABT, scaffolding, descriptive paragraph, story writing etc. To enhance the reading habit in students, she explained to show the students only cover page of the book and tell them half of the story and let the Students finish the other half by reading on their own.

The teachers played 'Hangman' game. The teachers discussed and learned how to do story writing using 5 'w's which are (what, when, who, why, where).

It was indeed a fun time of learning in which the teachers learned that proficiency in each of four language skill is essential to become a well rounded communicator.

Inauguration Ceremony Of 'Season Of Learning' For Parents By Motivational Speaker 'Sajan Shah'


Pandemic period saw complete dependence of Education System on electronic gadgets. In the wake of technological invasions and various other types of distractions, the parents need to be aware of the changing environment where entire Education system has shown a paradigm shift with regards to the challenges for which the Parents require training, counseling and workshops to learn the fundamentals of effective parenting so that they can learn and better handle everyday challenges and changes involving their children.

To equip the parents with strategies to combat post pandemic learning gap, Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan organished an enriching session on 'Effective Parenting' at Rungta Vidya Bhavan on 17th December 2022.

The event was presided by Shri Bharatbhai Shroff - the Vice President of Sanskar Bharti Trust, Shri Jugal Kishore Ruia - the Trustee of Sanskar Bharti Trust, Mrs. Sharmila Das - the Administrator and Principal of Sanskar Vidya Bhavan, Mr. Kulwant Marwal - the Administrator of Rungta Vidya Bhavan, Mr. Kalpeshbhai Shroff, Mr. Jigarbhai Dave - the Proprietor of Narmada Channel and many other eminent guests.

The 'Tree Plantation Drive' of planting 25000 plants in Bharuch City was initiated by the dignitaries by planting Plantable Pencils.

The Resource-Person Mr. Sajan Shah who is popularly known as 'The Memory Man of India' appealed the parents to encourage their wards to face post pandemic learning challenges with confidence. He also urged that parents should always adopt a positive approach so that the children develop positivity in them.

He guided the parents in an interesting way on qualities of good parenting, handling the changes in adolescence and understanding the viewpoints of the children .

He appealed to the parents to create a conducive atmosphere where children are encouraged to strive ahead in their field of interest and become a better citizen of the world for tomorrow.

Seminar On 'Need of Offline Reading'


“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.”

On 25th November 2022 an extremely helpful workshop was organized for students of Senior Secondary section.

This workshop explained and portrayed the vital need of reading in today’s world. The Resource Persons guided and explained the need and importance of OFFLINE reading.

They also presented the distraction caused by various gadgets during online reading.

Through an interesting interaction among students, resource persons explained how one can develop the habit of concentration and the desire to learn something new.

The students were made to play a game where they had to churn up their brains and think out of the box. And through this game students understood that they can learn something new and interesting only if they have Books as a source of guidance.

The difference between learning from mobile and a book or simply newspaper was bestowed.

CBSE Training Program on “Sensitization on Financial Literacy and Use of Digital Tools” was organized at Aditya Birla Public School, Kesrol on 25th November 2022.The session was attended by Anjali Shaw, Megha Lonkar, Trupti Sonavane, Neeta Singh, Parul Makasana, Zalak Bhatt and Meeta Vyas.

Mr. Jaydipsinh Chauhan a Social worker and CA by profession was the CBSE resource person, he explained the strategies of expenditure and saving along with various channels of investment for regular future income earning.

Basics of financial planning and retirement planning, safety tips to avoid cybercrime, life stage planning, medical insurance, term plans, SIPS, stock market investment were the key points of this training program.

Teacher’s participation, real-life experience sharing and doubt clearing made the session more interactive and fruitful.

Workshop On Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies


A Student's Learning Outcome Objective is an assessment tool that allows a teacher to quantify their impact on student's achievement as measured within the parameters of a particular academic or elective standard.

The main aim of pedagogy is to build on previous learning of the students and work on the development of skills and attitudes of the learners. Pedagogy refers to the study of teaching and learning in alignment with the predefined goals of education. In the teaching-learning process, there are two entities involved: the teacher and the student. Pedagogy acts as a bridge of communication between the two. Learning Outcomes and Pedagogy has been evolving to better support 21st-century skills and ideas among the Students.

To give insight into the best pedagogical approaches Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan organised a Capacity Building Program by CBSE on 'Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies' for all its fifty plus Teachers on 12th November 2022.

Renouned Master Trainers Shri Rajiv Shrivastava, the Principal Unnati English Academy, Surat and Mrs. Michelle Ganeshani the Principal CM Academy Ankleshwar were the Resource Persons.

The Resource Persons effectively demonstrated with examples that the Learning outcomes need to be SMART- *Specific: The learning outcome should be well defined and clear. It states exactly what will be accomplished. *Measurable: The learning outcome should provide a benchmark or target so that the institution can determine when the target has been reached, by how much it has been exceeded or by how much it has fallen short.

Agreed Upon: Important stakeholders must be in general agreement with the institution’s mission, goals and learning outcomes. Stakeholders may include university, school administration, faculty, students, alumni and/or community members.

Realistic: Learning outcomes should be reasonable given the available resources. Learning outcomes should neither be easy nor impossible to attain, but somewhere in between.

Time-Framed: A learning outcome should include a specific date by which it will be completed. It is important to allow enough time to successfully implement the steps needed to achieve the objective, but not so much as to elicit procrastination.

The Resource Persons taught the various dimensions and aspects of Pedagogies and Learning Outcomes through Bloom’s Taxonomy. All the Teachers benefitted a lot from the workshop.

Seminar On 'Safety Of Children' By CII Yi


With awareness and prevention as top priorities, CII Young Indians, has launched Project Masoom, an initiative with a goal for keeping Children Safe. The objectives of Project Masoom are to help to develop a supportive environment in our nation to ensure each child’s safety and protect them from the evils of Child Sexual Abuse.

The CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) Yi (Young Indians) represented by Vadodara Chapter conducted a session under Project Masoom at Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan for the students of Std. I to IV on 9th November 2022.

It is the tender age when students should be made aware of their safety. To make them differentiate between good touch and bad touch at this age is a very challenging task. But the way the members of Yi did it in a playway method is really appreciable. They started the session by asking students few questions about positive and negative emotions and slowly moved on to explain good touch and bad touch. It was explained that bad touch harms us.

Further the precautions that has to be taken during such situations were explained, like-
* Push and say no
* Rush to nearby crowd or groups
* Call parents or 1098 (Child Helpline)
* Share with someone.

At last the Students were explained about the 4s to stay safe-
-Speak Up
-Stop them
-Scream and run
-Seek help
They promoted the students to form a CIRCLE of trust of people whom they can trust and share things without hesitation. While concluding supporting video was shown to help the students understand the purpose of the session . In a play way method the Students were taught that ‘Safety is their responsibility and top priority’.

CBSE Workshop On Health And Wellness For School Going Children


Health and Wellness Teachers of Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan, Shailja Singh and Priya Marathe attended a resourceful session on ‘Health and Wellness among school going children ' which was organised for Principals and Wellness teachers of all CBSE schools of Bharuch , Ankleshwar and Narmada region on 10th September 2022.

The Master Trainer Mrs. Michelle Ganeshani in her highly interactive session highlighted the need of strong Emotional Quotient of teachers to cater emotional and psychological needs of students.

The session began with interactive session on different ways to cope with emotional stress followed by presentations on different psychological factors affecting adolescence.

She said that the seeds of good behaviour get etched in the school, thereby making schools and teachers instrumental towards fulfilling those goals.
She said that Health, Wellness and Education are interconnected. Therefore, investment in healthy behaviours during the formative years will create healthy and productive adults in the future, which in turn will reap rich dividends for the society.

She stated that Incorporating Health and Wellness into the School Curriculum can have substantial influence on student's health promoting positive educational outcomes.

Master Trainer Mrs. Michelle Ganeshani explained Prevention and Management of Substance Abuse, Socio-Cultural Protection, Management of Mental Disorders and Counselling for managing risky behaviours through real life examples and videos.

All the queries of the participants were answered in great detail by the Master Trainer.

Webinar On Cardistry organised by BDMA


The Interact and Earlyact Clubs of Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan sponsored by Rotary Club of Bharuch Narmada Nagri attended the Webinar on Cardistry by Mr. Shivraj Morzaria, the first Indian to represent India in the field of “Cardistry”.

Miss Zoya Shaikh, the President of Interact Club took great pride in introducing Mr. Shivraj Morzaria, the Cardistry Artist with 9 years of experience in the unique field of Cardistry and the creator of the various concepts in the field of cardistry such as 'Cardestroy'.

Art Of Living Program At SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan


Art of Living program was held from 18th to 20th July for the students of Std. III to X with the objective to foster, promote, and support value-integrated education.

Through Utrarsh Yoga (III to VII), the children learn to deal with negative emotions, improve concentration and memory, nurture human values such as compassion, respect, trust and sharing.

Medha Yoga Level I (VIII to X) provide students with practical knowledge and effective tools to reduce stress, manage negative emotions, and develop social and leadership skills.

Students were taught to energize entire body and mind through different yoga like Ujjayi Breathing, Bhastrika Pranayaam, Sudarshan Kriya, etc. They practiced Meditation, Candle Blowing, various Memory and Educational Games and learnt the tips for increasing concentration, focus, presence of mind, time management, memory, handle peer pressure, remove all negative influences, handle emotions and relationship.

The Three-Days Session of Art of Living gifted the students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan the lessons of living a good and stress-free lifestyle.

CBSE Workshop On: Topic: Multiple Intelligences

Participants: Anshu Kiran Shukla, Daya Ramani, Sheetal Joshi, Bhavana Shah, Bhavana Rathore

An Orientation programme was conducted on the topic - Multiple Intelligences by the Presenter Mrs. Nikita Chakravarty. She started the session by explaining the meaning of intelligence. Further she stated the theory of multiple intelligence explaining eight types of intelligences i.e Kinesthetic, Interpersonal, Linguistic, Mathematical, Naturalistic, Intrapersonal, Visual and Musical. She highlighted about an American developmental psychologist named Howard Gardener giving information about his books like Frames of Mind – The Theory of Multiple Intelligence, The Unschooled Mind, 5 Minutes for the Future and The Disciplined Mind etc. Further she explained each types of intelligences.

1.Linguistic Intelligence – She stated that people with high linguistic intelligence are good at reading, writing, telling stories and memorizing words with dates.
2. Logical – Mathematical Intelligence - She stated that people with this intelligence think by reasoning and they love experimenting, questioning, figuring out logic puzzles and calculating.
3. Musical intelligence - She explained that people who are able to distinguish the sounds around and can make their own melodies.
4. Spatial or Visual Intelligence - She stated that people with such intelligence have the ability to visualize with mind’s eye.
5. Bodily – Kinesthetic Intelligence – She explained that the one who have total body control, sense of timing, a clear sense of the goal of a physical action, an ability to train responses to become reflexes.
6. Interpersonal Intelligence – She noted that who tend to be extroverts, sensitive to other’s moods, feelings, temperaments and motivations.
7. Intrapersonal Intelligence – She enriched us with having an accurate picture of oneself (One’s strengths and weaknesses)
8. Naturalistic intelligence – She gave information about the one who are extremely sensitive to nature,nurturing and relating information to one’s natural surroundings. She also suggested what as educators we can do like

1.Individualize teaching , learning and assessing as much as possilbe
2.Whenever possible, we should plularize – presenting important ideas in several ways.
Lastly, she also highlighted – How to Pluralize by Narrative, Logical, Existential, Asthetic, Hands On, Interpersonal. The end of the session was concluded with a quote by Howard Gardener.
The participants benefited greatly by the Workshop.

CBSE Workshop On 'Life Skill'

An online orientation programme dated 19th July, 2022 was conducted on the topic- Life Skills by the presenter Dr. Mahesh Kdakkalakath from. He started the session by giving objectives and explained ten core life skills as identified by WHO.

Points covered in the webinar by the resource person were that every child should get an equal opportunity of participating in all academic and curricular activities that suits his/her capability. She suggested that every individual should get a chance to taste success hence in order to achieve success opportunities should be given in the classrooms
Some suggestions for the development of self-esteem were discussed by the felicitator.

These Life Skills are:

Further the facilitator showed video clips on the basis of these life skills and made two way communication through chat box. Moreover he dragged the attention of the participants towards a very good quote by William Shakespeare and the words are:

A webinar was conducted to provide insight on how to implement and help teachers in keeping students connected and engaged. In this webinar, the resource person Ms Stella Punitha highlighted socio-emotional learning (SEL).

Points covered in the webinar by the resource person were that every child should get an equal opportunity of participating in all academic and curricular activities that suits his/her capability. She suggested that every individual should get a chance to taste success hence in order to achieve success opportunities should be given in the classrooms
Some suggestions for the development of self-esteem were discussed by the felicitator.

She highlighted some of the Socio-emotional skills such as problem-solving, self-regulation, and impulse control. We should also reduce negative social behaviours like bullying and instead create a healthy and encouraging classroom environment. She even included that we should show empathy towards children which helps them improve their academics. These skills even help the children to successfully manage their everyday life.
Socio-emotional learning is vital for children because it teaches them crucial life skills, including the ability to understand themselves, develop a positive self-image, being responsible for their actions and make a strong and healthy relationship with the people around them, especially with their peers.

SEL is the process of developing self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills which are important for school, work and life success. People with socio-emotional skills are better at coping with everyday challenges and benefit them academically, professionally and socially.

SEL helps build a foundation that supports student success both personally and academically. When children are equipped with socio-emotional skills they’re better at learning as well as contributing to a healthy learning environment.
Moreover, socio-emotional learning has a role to play within the context that pushes for inclusive learning and accessible education.

Overall the webinar was very helpful in covering very important topics for effective learning for students and creating a healthy environment for better learning.

CBSE Workshop On Portfolio and Subject Enrichment Activities

An enriching session on ‘Decoding Portfolio and Subject Enrichment Assessment’ was conducted by the COE Gauhati on July 15, 2022, Saturday. The Resource Person Mr. Partha Sarathi Sarkar through presentation, discourses and the discussions provided substantial food for thought. The striking fact which emerged was that the process of building the portfolio ushers a series of skills that develops into the ability to comprehend individual strengths and challenges over a period of time, thereby promoting the art of reflection.

The teachers have often observed during their conversations with students that though the students can accurately tell what they were doing in a particular subject, they struggle to articulate what they might be learning. Constructing a personal portfolio to trace the learning curve encourages the students to take a few minutes to capture not only what they have learned, but also to analyse the ‘how’ and ‘why’, which will ultimately allow them to delve deeper into the content.

The session also evidently outlined that the 'assessment as learning’ is directly proportional to the student portfolio, which eventually leads to the development of metacognitive skills. The said skills in turn are scientifically proven to open the gates to taking learning beyond the classroom paraphernalia, a much sought-after ideal of the entire teaching-learning process.

Thus, it can be clearly visualized that for portfolios to be truly valuable to both students and teachers, they need to provide an insight into not only what students created as a representation of their learning, but also how and why they created it. If the ultimate goal is to develop students as life-long learners, they need an opportunity to make connections to the content as well as the overarching learning objectives.

Thus, to draw a conclusion, the session intended that the student portfolio is a living, breathing dossier of the learner’s achievements; thus, curating, reflecting and sharing should be at the helm of affairs. It lives on to tell the tale long after the academic year has ended. So, perception unified with a vivid imagination at its pivot, portfolios become summative in nature and can be viewed as a supplement to the end of a unit, project, or activity.

CBSE Workshop On Teacher Energized Recourse Manual

The Resource person started with a slogan of Rabindranath Tagore that the main objective of teaching is not to give explanations, but to knock at the doors of the mind. Explained about how to use term manual-The goal of the TERM (Teacher Energized Recourse Manual) is to provide teachers with competency-based education resources alligned to NCERT textbooks that would support them in the attainment of desired learning outcomes and development of requisite competencies of Learner. Competency based test items for each corresponding Learning objective and sample activities for enrichment were provided. Types of test items for students are based on images, case study, game, experimental, flow chart and tabular form.

The session ended with a test of 20 marks based on objective questions related to TERM for certificates.

The session was very informative because it enriched the teachers with the methods of teaching learning process by which they can develop the scientific skills among students, which makes teaching learnings process easy and interesting.

CBSE Workshop On 'Hindi Bhasha Me lekhan Tatha Sahitya Srijan'

The content of the Workshop was highly appreciated by the participants. The purpose, results and outcomes were regarded as relevant and meaningful. Furthermore, “the lessons on the case studies of what had worked and what not were very insightful”.

Other positive notes were that more insight was acquired on the Hindi language and that the Webinar theme enabled the sharing of ideas and knowledge across sectors. However, the participants suggested to discuss about the philosophy, since this would enable a more focused and in depth discussion of each issue.

Furthermore, it was recommended to put more focus on Hindi as a language not just as a subject, for example, encouraging participants to study it and provide feedback.

There should be space for ‘second order’ sessions; sessions that actually explore the history of Hindi as a language and its origin. Sharing these kind of lessons can improve a person’s knowledge about its mother tongue (Hindi) and also will spread awareness that how important this language is.

CBSE WORKSHOP ON ‘STRENGTHENING READING COMPETENCIES’

CBSE had conducted an online workshop on the topic ‘ Strengthening Reading Competencies’ on 4th July. The resource person was G.K Udgata.

This workshop was on how one should strengthen reading. The presenter explained through phonics - the sound of letters, phonemic awareness, to develop fleuncy by appropriate speed, accuracy, expression and comprehension. He also stressed on vocabulary which supports reading development and enhances the ability to comprehend the text accurately, but the basic principle to be kept in mind is that it should be in student friendly environment. He said that the ultimate goal of reading is comprehension- how one should analyze it, internalize it, decipher/translate it and digest it.

He also acquainted us with ‘Story Maps’ to raise their awareness of the elements the author uses to construct the story. He exemplified the K-W-L sheet with the workshop that he was conducting and said that it could be incorporated in any subject teaching. He depicted a graphic organizer and said that how it could help one to read out the conclusion of the whole process.

Some of the reading techniques that he shared were _ 1. SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) 2. Skimming 3. Scanning 4. Active, Detailed, Critical.

Few strategies to develop reading skill are
1. Annotate and highlight text.
2. Personalise the content.
3. Practice Problem solving skills.
He emphasized to set aside time to read each day, determine what to read, taking notes and summarizing it can enhance reading ability.

Finally, he concluded the workshop giving a glimpse of Bloom’s Taxonomy the seven steps to relate one with what one reads and how fruitful it has been to develop in reading. Also, he summarized the whole process of reading.

The Workshop was an enriching experience and the teachers benefitted from this Workshop.

A virtual training session on Teaching Strategies in Social Science (Secondary Level) was conducted on 25 th February 2022 by Centre of Excellence, Noida.

The Resource Person Mrs. KaniKa Vij focused on making teaching of Social Science interesting by connecting knowledge of life to outside school circle, learning the concept than rote, enriching curriculum , overall development of children by not being text book centric and to reduce exam stress.

Different methods of teaching Social Science that can be incorporated in the teaching learning process were discussed such as Concept Mapping, Model United Nation, Mock Elections, Travel Blog, Nukkad Natak and Dramatisation.

The importance of interdisciplinary approach was discussed by Mrs Kanika Vij, where the teachers learnt not only to link the other disciplines / subjects but how to inter link the boundaries of Social Science subjects and the need to open up to a plurality approach.

Finally the session was concluded with time management strategies for attempting Social Science papers.

शिक्षकों में हिंदी भाषा में लेखन तथा साहित्य सृजन की क्षमता को विकसित करने हेतु 23 फरवरी, 2022 को शाम 4:00 बजे से लेकर 5:00 बजे तक एक ऑनलाइन कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया था जिसमें श्रीमती मीता गुप्ता जी ने विषय विशेषज्ञ के तौर पर कार्यशाला में जुड़े हुए शिक्षक व शिक्षिकाओं को एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव प्रदान किया जिसमें उन्होंने शिक्षकों को साहित्य सृजन की ओर अग्रसर करते हुए कई सारे मुद्दों पर प्रकाश डाला। श्रीमती नीता जी ने कार्यशाला की शुरुआत प्रार्थना से की साथ ही में उन्होंने एक प्रश्न पूछ कर कार्यशाला को विषय की ओर अग्रसर किया । उनका प्रश्न था श्रेष्ठ साहित्य क्या है? प्रश्न का उत्तर देते हुए उन्होंने कहा साहित्य सृजन अनुभव शीलता का प्रवाह है उन्होंने आदि कवि वाल्मीकि जी के रामायण नामक ग्रंथ को रचने के पीछे जो छोटा सा किस्सा था वह बताते हुए समझाया की उन्होंने किस तरह से एक क्रौंच पक्षी और क्रोंची के विरह की व्यथा को रामायण जैसे अभूतपूर्व ग्रंथ में परिवर्तित कर दिया उन्होंने कई ऐसे बिंदु प्रस्तुत किए जो अध्यापक अध्यापिका ओं को साहित्य सर्जन कार बनने की ओर प्रेरित करें।

उन्होंने साहित्य की महानता बताते हुए कहा साहित्य तो अपने आप में श्रेष्ठ और असीम है साहित्य को चुनौती देना असंभव है क्योंकि हम किसी भी व्यक्ति विशेष की सोच को सीमा में नही बांध सकते या चुनौती नहीं दे सकते साथ ही उन्होंने एक आधुनिक कवित्री श्रीमती मधु गोविंद मोहिनी जी का उदाहरण भी दिया और उनकी नई रचना सुनाते हुए कहा की किस तरह से उन्होंने अपने दैनिक जीवन की मुसीबतों को या अनुभवों को कविता का स्वरूप दे दिया। श्रीमती मीता ने कवि वाल्मीकि, तुलसीदास ,भारतेंदु हरिश्चंद्र, निराला जी, प्रेमचंद जी, अज्ञेय जी, हरिवंश राय बच्चन, माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी जैसे साहित्यकारों के उदाहरण और उनकी रचनाओं की प्रासंगिकता को समझाया और कहा की साहित्य तो मंजू मंदाकिनी है। उन्होंने अशोक के शिलालेखों का भी उल्लेख किया उन्होंने संस्कृत साहित्य के एक वेद वचन द्वारा साहित्य की महानता को प्रकाशित किया जो इस प्रकार है ‘असतो मा सद्गमय तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय मृत्योर्मा अमृतम् गमाय'.

Tश्रीमती मीता जी ने हिंदी साहित्य की लेखिका निर्मला पुतुल के विषय में भी चर्चा की उन्होंने निर्मला जी के जीवन की कथनी बता कर लेखक किसी भी स्थिति में अपने लेखन को सर्वोच्च कोटी तक ले जा सकता है यह स्पष्ट किया। उन्होंने निर्मला जी की आत्मकथा ‘आलो अंधारी' के विषय में चर्चा करते हुए कहा की एक अनपढ़ महिला जो ठीक से पढ़ना लिखना भी नहीं जानती थी वह अगर अपनी आत्मकथा इतने रोचक ढंग से लिख सकती है जिसका अनुवाद 12 भाषाओं में किया गया हो तो हम तो शिक्षित हैं हम क्यों नहीं अपने लेखन कौशल्य का विकास कर सकते? इस तरह मीता जी ने सभी शिक्षक शिक्षिकाओं को भाषा में लेखन कौशल्य के महत्व को समझाया और सभी को कुछ ना कुछ लिखने हेतु प्रेरित किया। उनके द्वारा संचालित यह कार्यशाला वास्तव में एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव साबित हुई।

The session conducted was about the awareness of the environment. It stated various measures to protect our environment and enhance one’s skill for a healthy environment and sustainable future.

An activity was discussed (conducted in school) by Ms. Priya Murali stated as Global Handwashing Day in which the importance of handwashing was stated which prevents getting prone to diseases.

They stated some measures which should be taken to promote a healthy environment in the school curriculum.

The measure taken are as follows:
Commitment to an environmental statement.
Pledge for the environment.
Presence of eco-club in each school for the awareness of the environment and create a logo for the same.
Have energy monitors in classes.
Teach songs related to the environment.
Covering books with the help of a newspaper.
Earth hour should be promoted within the school.
The circular sent by schools should be sent in the form of soft copies rather than hard copies.
Vegetable garden should be set up in school.
Invite resource person to speak about taking care of the environment.

Teaching of Maths need to develop new ideas, methodologies and strategies to make their teaching and learning of Mathematics interesting and Exciting by joyful activities.

Skills that have to enhance are group discussions, involving physical activities, story telling, involving different Maths lab activities, applying different situations and asked situation based questions to which student can co-relate.

The goals of teaching Maths is to Engage children interest into different activities to create there interest and focus into Maths concepts.

Focus should be on engaging every child with joy and interest in Maths concept. Teach children to find and apply Maths in day to day life.

Applying different tricks while solving difficult sums make it more easy and joyful. For example in teaching of Multiplication of bigger numbers we can involve tricks like Split and Merge method .As a teacher we should always encourage our students to face new challenges from various resources.

Webinar on “Multiple Intelligences”

Resource person: Ranjna Jangra (principal- B.K Birla Public School, Kalyan) This online seminar on “multiple intelligences” as the name suggests taught about the various types of intelligences in a person and how to identify these in the students and teach them accordingly.

The theory of multiple intelligences was developed in 1983 by Howard Gardner and proposes that testing is limited and needs to be expanded to include new types of intelligences.

According to Howard Gardner, human intelligences can be classified into Nine core forms of intelligences:-

1. Verbal/Linguistic Intelligence: Good at spellings, Enjoys reading, writing, discussing and remembers what has been said and read. Some activities to strengthen linguistic skills are writing story/poem, solving puzzles and crosswords and writing an article for school magazine.
2. Logical/Mathematical Intelligence: Math smart, likes maths and using technology to solve complex problems, good analytical and logical skills. Some activities to strengthen this intelligence are Playing math games like Chess, ludo and monopoly, solving puzzles with logical reasoning, drawing mind maps.
3. Bodily Intelligence: Enjoys concrete learning experiences such as field trips, model building etc., demonstrates skills in acting, athletics, dancing, sewing.
4. Visual Intelligence: Learns by seeing and observing. Thinks in picture and visualizes things. Enjoys doodling, drawing, painting, sculpting etc.
5. Musical Intelligence: Music smart. Is eager to be around and learn from music. Develops the ability to sing/play an instrument. Some activities to strengthen musical intelligence are writing their own songs, singing together in classroom, learn concepts in form of poem/songs.
6. Interpersonal Intelligence: People smart. Bonds with parents, peer, and others comfortably. Form and maintain social relationships. Some activities to strengthen this intelligence are: working in groups on a project. Conducting interviews, team building exercise.
7. Intrapersonal Intelligence: Works independently, is aware of his strengths and weaknesses, Strives for self-actualization.
8. Naturalistic intelligence: nature smart, nature friendly.
9. Existential Intelligence: self-driven, thinks about himself and about his role on this earth, thinks about his existence.

All these points were explained very well in detail and we learnt to identify the students based on these different types of intelligences and how it is important to teach them accordingly. Different forms of teaching were taught for the same.

Overall, this training was really helpful. It was fun as well as informative. I am really grateful that I was given a chance to attend this seminar and learn so much.

TEACHER’S TRAINING ON ‘TEACHING STRATEGIES OF SCIENCE (SECONDARY LEVEL)

The above teachers attended the webinar on ‘The Teaching Strategies of Science’ conducted by Dr. Sonia Sharma, COE, Ajmer on 17th February 2022. Following points were discussed during the session.

1. Students must be encouraged to participate actively in teaching learning process.
2. Students should be encouraged to read beyond textbook, so that they must utilize the school library.
3. Teachers must interact with students to know their level of understanding.
4. Group discussion to be encouraged so that all the children must participate actively.
5. Teamwork is very important so that children can discuss their problems among themselves. In this way their doubt will be cleared, and they can have confidence to speak out.
6. Teachers must teach by showing activities, PowerPoints and by sending learning videos. They can make mind maps, charts, models etc.

SEMINAR ON ADOLESCENT HEALTH


Adolescence education aims to provide young people with accurate, age appropriate and culturally relevant information to promote healthy attitudes and develop skills to enable them to respond to real-life situations.

With the aim to promote the same effectively, a seminar on 'Adolescent Health' was organised by the Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan for the girls of standard IX, X, XI and XII on 17th September 2021.

Dr. Bhavnaben Sheth , the most renowned senior gynecologist of Bharuch conducted a very effective session to guide and council our students on the issues related to Adolescence.

Dr. Chintan Thakkar another eminent gynecologist of Bharuch highlighted on the need and the purpose of Adolescence Education as the need of the hour.

The seminar was very effective and informative.


Webinar on 3rd Wave of COVID-19


A Webinar was organised on the possibility of third wave of covid-19 by Indofill Industries, Dahej for the students of Std. I to X of our School in July. The webinar was conducted by Dr. Daxesh Chauhan and his team on different days for different groups of children.

The Webinar was very informative which comprised of detailed information above Covid 19 right from the full form to the mutation which caused the first and the second wave as well as the feared third wave due to the delta+ variant.

The students listened keenly and raised their doubts, expressed their fears, concerns and queries on the topic during the Question and Answer session which were very promptly answered by the Dr. Daxesh Chauhan and Dr. Himanshu Vanza.

The students got elaborate knowledge about the precautions and measures to safeguard themselves from Covid-19 and were happy to attend such a resourceful webinar.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON ADOLOSCENCE EDUCATION


COE Pune organized a resourceful workshop on ‘ Adoloscence Education’ on 2nd July 2020. The workshop was attended by Mrs. Sindhu Sunil. The resource person of the workshop was Mrs Hemangi Prasad, School Counselor, DAV Public School, New Panvel.

The session at the workshop encompassed discussions on physical, emotional and social changes during adolescence. Various issues like puberty, physical changes, coping with distractions, mood swings etc. were extensively discussed.

The session concluded with the motivational lines ‘ If we do not value our worth nobody else will’



CBSE WORKSHOP ON DIGITAL LEARNING AND MANAGEMENT


In a digitally focused world, education is getting more and more digitized pushing teachers and educators, to re-conceptualize what it really means to be a teacher in the 21st century. To update teachers with the latest Digital Learning and management strategies COE organised workshop on ‘ Digital learning and Management’ on 6th July 2020.

The Resource person of this Workshop was Mr. Avinash Kulkarni , Vice Principal, Bal Bharti Public School, Navi Mumbai.This workshop was attended by Ms Neha Shah .

This workshop equipped teachers with number of perspectives on the definition and applicability of different digital platforms.


CBSE WORKSHOP ON GENDER SENSTIVITY


With growing concern over the lack of gender sensitisation among the youth, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), had organised a one day ‘Capacity Building Program’ on gender sensitivity for teachers to enable them to ensure unbiased participation of both boys and girls in the learning process..

The ONLINE WORKSHOP ON GENGER SENSTIVITY was conducted on 9th July 2020.The resource person Mrs. Archana Golcha, Principal MCE School, Chandrapur conducted the program in a very interactive manner and guided teachers to create gender sensitive lesson plans and textbooks.

Ms. Shailja Singh along with other teachers from various schools across the country had participated enthusiastically in the program and resolved to make their respective school Gender sensitive.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON BLOOMS TAXONOMY AND ITS APPLICATION IN PHYSICS


COE Ajmer conducted workshop on Blooms Taxonomy and its application in Physics to acquaint the participant teachers about different strategies to encourage high order thinking in students. The resource Person Mr Ajayshree Sharma explained about three domains of blooms Taxonomy- Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor. This workshop was attended by Mrs Rani Saraf.

The entire session was very interactive and lent new perspective on teaching Physics.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON JOYFUL MATHEMATICS


Mathematics evokes emotions ranging from dislike, anxiety, to outright fear among children. CBSE, in order to help children cope with such feelings, conducted a Capacity Building Programme for teachers, named ‘Joyful teaching and learning of Mathematics’.

The workshop was attended by our Maths teacher, Mrs Payal Dave on 12th July 2020. The resource person Ms Jyothi Ramachandran conducted the interactive session.

The objective of the training program was to enable teachers to help students appreciate the beauty of the subject by connecting with Math in daily activities, developing assessments for joyful learning, using technology to enhance learning, making use of innovative teaching strategies and linking Math with other fields like sports, dance, art etc.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON TEACHING STRATEGIES IN ENGLISH WRITING


COE Pune organised virtual workshop for English teachers of Std XI and XII on 10th July 2020 to update the educators with strategies of develop writing skills in Senior Secondary Students. The Resource Person of the workshop was Mrs Anuradha Sardesh Pande, Principal Modern School and it was attended by Mrs. Shailja Singh and Mrs. Supriya Pandey.

The workshop provided the formats of Long and Short Writing portions prescribed by CBSE and also highlighted the common mistakes committed by students while attempting writing section. The entire session was highly informative



CBSE WORKSHOP ON BLOOMS TAXONOMY AND ITS APPLICATION IN SCIENCE


On 13th July 2020, Mrs Bhaswati Dutta attended an online CBSE capacity building training session on Understanding Bloom’s Taxonomy and its application in Science, organized by COE . The resource person Dr. Rashmi Tyagi Academic Director, Modern English School spoke about the importance of using Bloom’s Taxonomy in teaching science and compared it to the idea of 3 H given by Gandhi ji i.e. Head (Cognitive domain), Heart (Affective domain) and Hand (Psychomotor domain).

She compared Bloom’s Taxonomy with revised Bloom’s Taxonomy and very interestingly explained the different levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy and their applications in teaching science from framing learning objectives and learning outcomes to framing questions for evaluation.

The objective of the session was that all the participants understand that the core idea of teaching science is to stimulate students’ thought processes and to achieve this objective different types of questions are required to stimulate different levels of thinking.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON TEACHING STRATEGIES IN SCIENCE IN STD IX & X


A capacity building workshop for the science teachers of classes 9 and 10 was conducted by CBSE on 16thJuly, 2020 Our teachers, Ms. Bhavika Bhavsar and Mrs Sonali Pall attended the workshop.

The aim of the exercise conducted by Resource person Ms Manisha Patil was to refresh and reinforce basic methodologies of some very important aspects of teaching and learning Science. She used innovative learning tools while focusing on the real science that is being taught. The workshop helped to re-energize the teachers to enable them to focus on making science more fun and meaningful.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON PEDAGOGICAL CREATIVITY IN PYTHON


Python is a language which is rapidly growing and has become popular in recent times. In order to teach foundational computer skills and bring the syllabus in line with international courses, CBSE has revised the Computer Science / informatics practices’ curriculum and replaced C++/JAVA with Python.

To prepare teachers for the change, CBSE held virtual workshop on ‘ Pedagogical Creativity unplugged in Python’ on 13th July 2020, the Resource person of the workshop was Ms Gurpreet Kaur.

Ms Dipali Gandhi, HOD computer science participated in the workshops to enhance and update her professional skills.

The objective of the workshop was to ensure fun based learning , writing and executing Code using Python.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON LEARNING STYLES


Virtual Workshop ‘Learning Styles’ on was organised by CBSE on 23rd July 2020 .Mrs, Sudha Mahajan conducted the workshop which was attended by Mrs. Radhika Pandya and Mrs. Jaimini Maharaul.

The Resource person explained different learning styles such as Visual, Auditorial, Reading and Writing and Kinesthetic in detail.

It was highly enriching and resourceful session in which teachers learnt how to introduce and apply different learning styles in their day today teaching.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON INTEGRATION OF ART IN ENGLISH


When Art is integrated with education it helps child apply art based enquiry, investigation critical thinking and exploration for deeper understanding of concepts and topics.

Centre of Excellence organised Capacity Program on Integration of Art in English on 22nd July 2020. The workshop was attended by Mrs Dimple Josh and Mrs. Mugdha Katadarei. The Resource person was Mrs Swapna Nair.

Mrs Nair motivated teachers to develop their alignment of teaching through sustainable development goals. She acquainted the teachers with different methodologies if integration of Art in English.

The entire session was highly informative and provided glimpse of latest changes in syllabus introduced by CBSE.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON HAPPY CLASS ROOM- EXPLORING HAPPINESS


Ms. Dimple Joshi attended a workshop organized by Centre of excellence (CBSE) on ‘Happy Classrooms- Exploring happiness’ on 26th July 2020.

The session primarily focused on the importance of the happiness quotient of teachers and educators in order to enhance the teaching-learning process. Self-awareness and practicing mindfulness were some of the techniques that were emphasized.

The workshop involved active discussion with the participants in order to build on their already existing ideas towards over all wellness.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON HAPPY TEACHERS CREATING HAPPY SPACES


“ Teachers can change lives with just the right mix of chalk and Smile ”

On 27th July 2020 an online training was provided by CBSE for teachers to create happiness in the classroom as it helps to enhance the learning experience of students. It was presented by the resource person Fr. Dr. Mathew Thengumpally whose approach during the session was on the role of happiness which is created when a teacher has a positive outlook towards different situations in the classroom. It was attended by Mrs. Pinky Shah and Mrs Poonam Duggal.

According to Fr Thengumpally a teacher not only provides knowledge but also paves way for personal development of the students by allocating time to create happiness in the classroom. There is a strong link between happiness and success and happy students tend to learn better.

He highlighted that the domains of EI include-self awareness, self-motivation and self regulation. She also shared some tips to encourage positive attitude in students:

  • 1. Set an example
  • 2. Create a positive learning atmosphere
  • 3. Take learning outside the classroom
  • 4. Show C.A.R.E- which stands for C-Code of professional conduct to be followed.
    A- Acquire knowledge about the students to be able to cope proactively.
    R- Reflective practices and self-confidence help you in difficult situations.
    E- Engaging with colleagues ensures you are not in it alone.

Overall the session motivated the teachers to scatter smile as students often need a push to do well. A small word of encouragement from the teacher motivates the students to learn and grow. It was fruitful to be a part of highly encouraging training session.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE


CBSE held a workshop on Multiple Intelligence on 28th July 2020 which was attended by Ms. Poonam Duggal. The speaker,Mrs Geeta Subramaniam, discussed about the theory of Multiple Intelligence. She said that we cannot force a child to learn in a particular manner so being a teacher we need to explore different methods.

Being a teacher, we get an opportunity to nourish children and consider them as sacred beings. But in this pandemic situation, teaching is a challenge as teachers have to present themselves virtually. Nowadays teachers need to work as a facilitator or as a cheerleader who inspire the children. A teacher should make a class active and give importance to life skills. Peer tutoring and hands-on learning methods should be practiced rather than feeding information which they can easily get from the digital platforms.

A teacher should always keep in mind that no child in a class is less intelligent but as a teacher she needs to learn, unlearn and relearn the methods of teaching.

It was indeed an informative session which helped the teachers to get answers of many questions which keep arising in their mind



CBSE WORKSHOP ON CLASS ROOM MANAGEMENT


CBSE conducted a training session for the teachers all over India on 28th July 2020 on ‘Classroom Management- Conduct Management in class – Consequences and Rewards ’ which was attended by Mrs. Kumud Guptal. The resource person of the session was Mrs. Anuradha Sardeshpande.

The Resource person highlighted that an efficient and effective teacher is the one who works sequentially on the overall framework of the child. Effective teachers establish an effective learning classroom which provides an orderly environment for the academic, moral, social and emotional development of the children.

She asserted that the classroom management has mainly three basic features - Content, Conduct and Covenant. Content includes curriculum planning, instructional designing, physical environment, time management and teaching style; Conduct means the rules and regulations for a class and the class discipline and Covenant refers to the kind of relationship between a teacher and a student and student-student relationship



CBSE WORKSHOP ON EXPLORING EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING THROUGH PROJECTS


On 3rd September 2020, CBSE held a webinar for teachers. The topic was- Experiential Learning. The resource person was Ms. Binu K Raj . It was attended by Ms Rani Saraf, Mrs Bhavika Bhavsar and Mrs Rekha Jagetia. As it is well known “Tell me, I forget; show me, I remember; involve me, I understand.”, the same message was the essence of the webinar.

Ms. Raj emphasised upon making a classroom a place full of hands-on experience. She said that experiential learning takes place when a person involved in an activity looks back and evaluates it, determines what was useful or important to remember and uses the information to perform another activity. This is so because we do not learn from experience, we learn from reflecting on the experience.

The session highlighted that ability to reflect/ evaluate and analyse are most important for learning.



WORKSHOP ON INTRODUCTION TO EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING


CBSE workshop on Introduction Experiential Learning was conducted online on 10th September, 2020 . The resource person, Ms Swapna Majumdar, explained the meaning and benefits of experiential learning. She also talked about the ways by which art can be integrated with various subjects. The workshop was attended by Mrs. Hetal Rajput and Mrs. Anshu Kiran Shukla.

The resource person also talked about how art can be integrated with different subjects. She reiterated that art based learning has the capacity to engage learners personally, emotionally and even spiritually.

Last but not the least, Ms Majumdar reinforced that the learners should be provided patience and time to process the experience. They should not be judged for their creative abilities or artistic perfection, but the focus should be on the learning process and creative expression.

Thus it was a very fruitful and enriching session, which motivates us to incorporate few more innovative ideas to bring positive learning outcomes in the class room.



WORKSHOP ON EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING


A workshop on “Experiential learning: Exploring Multiple Intelligence and Multidisciplinary links was conducted by Ms.Jyothy Ramachandran on 14th September 2020. It was attended by Ms. Rupal Makwana .and Ms. Seema Sharma.

Ms. Sharma started the session by a presentation explaining the expected learning outcomes of the training programe. A video on experiential learning was shown as the ice breaking session. She explained that Kolb’s Cycle includes learning through reflection on doing. The cycle includes four stages- Activity, Reflection, Conceptualisation and Application to new areas. These stages can be applied in different subjects. In English, a story can be created by giving vocabulary to the students.

Experiential learning takes place when a person involved in the activity looks back and evaluates it, determines what was important or useful to remember and uses the information to perform another activity.

CBSE WORKSHOP ON INTEGRATION OF ARTS IN CURRICULUM THROUGH EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING

ART has the power to TRANSFORM, ILLUMINATE, EDUCATE, INSPIRE & MOTIVATE.


Centre of Excellence, organized an online training session for the teachers on 14th September 2020 on ‘Integration of Arts in Curriculum through Experimental Learning. Mrs Bhawna Rathor attended the same. The resource person of the session was Dr. Manisha Sharma, the Principal of Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka.

The main objective of the training as the name suggests, was to bring quality in the education of schools through the integration of arts into the curriculum.

The resource person made it very clear that Art Integration is not a replacement for Art Education, but is collaboration between the two - teaching of the subject with teaching of Art. The teachers learnt that Art Integrated Education when embedded in classroom transactions, not only create joyful classrooms, but also imbibe the Indian ethos through the integration of Indian art and culture in the teaching and learning process at every level.



CBSE WORKSHOP ON INNOVATIVE PEDAGOGY IN SCIENCE EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING


Capacity Building Program was conducted for Science Teachers of Std IX and X by COE to acquaint them with Innovative Pedagogy in Science .

The workshop was conducted by Mrs Vinita Mishra on 23rd September 2020 and was attended by Mrs. Sonali Pal.

Mrs Mishra explained Experimental Learning through following five steps: Experience, Sharing, Process , Genalisation and Application.

The session used interactive approach to enrich the knowledge and competencies of teachers.

Hub Of Learning Workshop At Swamy Vivekananda Academy


With the principles of improvement and innovation as foundation of teaching learning process, the HUB Schools are playing a vital role. The Integrated Hub Workshop for all the teachers along with Principals was organized on 23rd November' 2019 at Swami Vivekananda Academy, Ankleshwar. It was an elucidative and interactive workshop which made all the participants actively involved in the activities.Through interactive sessions teachers learnt how different forms of art can be integrated with all the subjects. Launch of Fit India Movement


To commemorate Major Dhyan Chandra's birthday, one of the greatest hockey players in the history of sports, our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi launched 'Fit India Campaign' on 9th August 2019. The live telecast of the motivational programme initiated by the Prime Minister was shown to the students of VII to X. The Campaign highlighted the importance of fitness in life and acquainted people about indigenous sports like 'Gilli Danda' ,'Marbles' etc. It motivated people to be safe from diseases like diabetes and blood pressure by changing the lifestyle by incorporating simple ways in life like using stairs, walking etc. It was indeed a life changing experience for one and all.



Mentor-Mentee programme by Interact Club


Interact Club of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan started the permenent project, 'Mentor-Mentee' programme with the objective of developing life skills. The mentor is assigned to act as an advisor, counsellor and guide to a junior. The mentor acts as a role model for the mentee. The advise given by the mentor helps the mentee to develop new skills and a larger network. For a mentor it serves as an excellent learning experience.

The responsibility undertaken by a mentor to guide and motivate his mentee in his career, helps the mentor to develop communication and leadership skills.

Mentors of interact Club after the completion of each month, submit their reports to their guide teachers.



'Each One Teach One' project by Interact Club


To spread the light of education the Interact Members of Shrimati Maniba Chunilal Patel Sanskar Vidya Bhavan started a program called ‘Each One Teach One’. In this project the students are doing the noble work of rendering education to the people who belong to the weaker sections of the society and due to socio-economic reasons are deprived of basic education. The members of Interact Club teach their house maids, security guards, maid’s children and other helpers through Innovative ideas.



Mime Act by Teachers of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan


Educators from SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan zealously participated in the Mime Competition jointly organized by Rotary Club and Inner Wheel Club of Bharuch on 31st August 2019. Teachers from 21 schools participated in the same. It was an enriching experience for one and all.The teachers of our school highlighted the need and importance of 'Woman Empowerment' in present scenario.



Ryla Workshop


An enriching program was held by Rotary to inculcate values of team spirit ,leadership conviction communication skills etc. This was explained not only through lectures but through interactive media such as pictures, videos and many innovative activities such as origami,bridge building,advertisement etc. Students participated in all activities like lemon and spoon race,tyre race ,musical chair etc. Eight students of our school participated in workshop .To boast their morals,winners of each activity were given prizes. At the end all the schools presented their mime act which was on titled-‘Conservation of Environment-Save Trees’ which was a fun learning activity.



Capacity Building Workshop By CBSE On English Teaching For X


Center of excellence Ajmer had organized a workshop for the Capacity Building Programme on 6 and 7 of September 2019 at Unnati English Academy Surat.
The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Manashini from D. P. S. Surat & Mr. Gorachand Mishra from Divine Child International School Mehsana.
Two teachers from our school Mrs. Neha Shah & Mrs. Supriya Pandey participated in the workshop.
The two days workshop highlighted on various aspects of English teaching & learning. It covered different arenas of English language learning like -Listening, Speaking,Reading and Writing. Importance of learning English literature, Strategies of teaching English Grammar, Assessments and various modes of evaluating the answer scripts were also discussed in the programme.
Overall it was an informative and fruitful workshop.



Reduce - Reuse - Recycle Project by The Interact Club


The Reduce, Reuse and Recycle project is the permanent project of the Interact Club of our school. The Compost pit in the school is used to dispose waste mainly the dry leaves from the campus, the peels from the kitchen and other biodegradable waste to be converted into compost. The compost thus prepared is to be used as manure in the maintenance of the school gardens.



Health And Hygiene Seminar At Kanyashala By Interact Club


To raise awareness about the Health and Hygiene among students of Kanyashala, a resourceful Seminar on Health and Hygiene was conducted by the members of Interact Club of the school on 8th August 2019 . Importance of Health and Wellness, Sanitation, Balanced Diet, Medicinal plants were explained through PowerPoint presentations, Interactive Sessions and Quizzes. Club members also demonstrated the proper way of washing the hands, brushing teeth, etc. The Seminar motivated the students to take up a healthy lifestyle as it is rightly said, 'Prevention is better than cure'.



Workshop on Life Skill by Center Of Excellence, CBSE


Workshop on Life Skill was organized at P P Savani School on 20th July. Four teachers Supriya Pandey, Sarita Gupta, Bhoomika Patel and Anshukiran Shukla attended the workshop. The resource persons were Kush Kulshreshtha and Michelle Ganeshani. The aim of the workshop was to inculcate new ideas related to teaching of life skills and incorporation of the same in the curriculum. The resource person comprehensively explained various ways and techniques of developing and enhancing life skills among students of all age groups. Thinking skills, social skills, emotional skills and their types were taken up in details through various modes like discussion, role play, debate, etc. The workshop not only made the teachers more sensitive and understanding towards students but also helped in imbibing life skills in their teaching style so that children add value to their personality as a whole.



Mathematics Workshop by Hub Of Learning


Workshop for Maths Educators was organized at Swamy Vivekananda Academy, Ankleshwar on 20th July. Jayshri Gohil, Payal Dave, Bhavana Shah and Shubhi Mishra attended the workshop. In this workshop, the Mathematics teachers developed ideas to motivate students by joyful activities, such as discovering, exploring, constructing, designing, setting strategy, and solving problems through various hands-on activities. Sample Lesson Plans were presented by the Maths educators.



Hub Of Learning (ID-GT0028) - Social Science Workshop


The Social Science workshop on 'Joyful Learning' for Hub ID GT0028 was conducted in Smt MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan on 6th July 2019. It catered to the professional growth and development of Social Science teachers. The educators from Kharod Public School, CKG High School, Swami Vivekananda Academy, Jay Ambe International School, Narayan Vidya Mandir and Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan attended the workshop.

The workshop began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Educators were given floral welcome. The Venue director and Principal Mrs. Sharmila Das initiated the teaching strategies. The resource person Mrs. Shailja Singh laid importance on going beyond textual contents and making their pedagogy fun filled and focused on joyful learning .

The workshop included Interactive Sessions to discuss various interesting and fun filled teaching methodologies. Through Graphic organizer, Talk show and Discussions, educators were trained to add elements of fun in their teaching to ensure joyful learning.

Educators discussed about S. St Hub Competition/Activity, scheduled on 28th August . They prepared child centred lesson plan by incorporating the discussed methodologies to have fun filled learning in their class.

Overall it was an enriching and resourceful session. The workshop ended with National Anthem.

The outcome of this workshop would be felt by teachers during their class room interactions by transforming their teaching methods and making it more inclusive, joyful and fun filled.



English Educators, Hub Of Learning


Workshop for English Educators was held at Jay Ambe International School on 22nd June 2019. The Rrsource Person, Ms Darshana emphasized on joyful learning by play way method at primary level. The importance of teaching poetries using poetic devices was insisted. All six participant schools presented and analysed lesson plans with effective teaching strategies. The session concluded with feedback and vote of thanks.



Science Educators, Hub Of Learning


Science workshop was conducted at Kharod Public School on 27th June 2019. The resource person was Dr. Anjali Kulshreshtha. Rani Saraf and Bhavika Bhavsar attended the workshop. The moto of the workshop was to incorporate joyful learning in classroom and provide encouraging environment and experiences to students. To enable this, the educators were advised to encourage students' involvement and participation by providing them all possible scopes to express their own creativity and ideas and appreciating and displaying their work in classrooms or school premises. The teachers presented lesson plans using joyful methodologies and discussed the problems faced during teaching and methods to overcome them. The session ended by exchange of feedback and national anthem.



Hindi Educators, Hub Of Learning


Hindi workshop was organized at Kharod Public School on 13th July 2019. The resource person was Ms. Vinitha. Anita Saxena, Kumud Gupta, Radhika Pandya and Rachana Mishra attended the workshop. The workshop aimed at creating joyful learning as it fecilitates fast and more learning. To bring in such lively teaching into classrooms, various techniques like compose poetries, create new words and phrases, emphasise on literary words, etc were presented. Ways and methods to inculcate positive attitude and values among children were also discussed. The session ended with demonstration of lesson plans by all six schools and exchange of learning outcomes.



Training Program for Khelo India National Fitness Assessment By Centre Of Excellence, CBSE


Physics Education workshop was held at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Baroda on 13th July' 2019. This workshop aimed at showcasing the tremendous sports potential of students at a global platform. The resource persons were Prince Jagdishchandra Dhabuwala and Siddharth Singh Rathod. Sports teachers Kesha Patel, Mahendra Patanvadiya and Jagruti Jadhav attended the workshop. The training program was designed on overall development of physical education. Various tests on flexibility, coordination, stamina, muscular strength, endurance, etc were some of the criteria of assessment which were practically illustrated to the teachers. Khelo India App was explained to the sports teachers. The workshop was very informative and lively.



Classroom Management By Centre Of Excellence, CBSE


Two days workshop on Classroom Management was organized at Rajshripolymer School, Ankleshwar on 12th and13th June 2019. The resource persons were Mr. Dharmesh Vyas and Mr. Kulsreshtha. Dina Dave and Zalak Shah attended the workshop. The informative program provided a platform to teachers to adopt various effective techniques for classroom management. The resource persons engaged the teachers in various activities and discussed common problems faced by teachers in classroom management which can be handled by effective discipline, content mastery, motivating students, being creative and imaginative and positive approach. The workshop was an interactive session where the teachers sought answers to their queries from expert trainers.



Capacity Building Programme on Inclusion and Inclusive Strategies By Center of Excellence, CBSE


Two days workshop was held at Cygnus World School, Baroda on 12th and13th June 2019. The resource persons were Rajeev Singhal and Michelle Ganeshani. Sindhu Sunil and Renu Uppal attended the workshop. The focus of the workshop was the inclusion of children with special needs in the classroom with other children. For this the teachers were sensitised to the mental, social and physical needs of the children and were educated how to create a welcoming environment (least restricted environment) and provide students with ongoing opportunities to learn, share and engage in classroom activities. The workshop concluded with the explanation of provisions and exemptions for students with special needs.



Nation Building; In a New Avatar By BDMA


Bharuch District Management Association Women's Conclave conducted a workshop on 'Nation Building: In a New Avatar' on 28th June 2019 in hotel Regenta. 60 students from X, XI and XII and teachers attended the workshop. Eminent speakers from all over the country who are achievers and experts of diverse fields shared their journeys of life and experiences and inspired the young students. Eminent speakers included Padma Bhushan Rajshree Birla, Ursula Thakkar, Revantha Sarabhai, Padmashree Rachel Thomas, Umang Hutheesing, Roopali Parswani, Vijaylakshmi Vijaykumar, Sonali Lele Desai, Neha Buch and Maheshbhai Savani. The workshop was highly informative and motivational.



Seminar on "Enjoy Your Exams"


A seminar on 'Enjoy Your Exams' was organized by JCI Bharuch for Std. X and XII students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan on 6th February 2019. The speaker, Prof. Dipen Shah, an international motivational speaker and renouned educationist addressed 125 students with their parents.

He guided the students how to form proper time table and implement it, concentration and reading technique, how to get rid of all the distractions during Board Exams, importance of visual aids during revision, right posture during studies, to have energy rich nutritional food, to drink a lot of water to keep the body and brain hydrated. The students and parents benefitted immensely from the seminar and took home valuable learnings.



WORKSHOP on "Career Guidance" attented by - MRS.DIPALI GANDHI & MS.JAYSHREE GOHIL

Education aims at promoting an all-round wholesome development in all spheres of life. Guidance and Counselling at secondary level helps the students in identification and development of their abilities and interests. In today’s competitive scenario, for guiding young students in making realistic career choices, it is important for the teachers to understand each dimension of career in detail and collect the appropriate information. This detail will help the teachers to distinguish between what can be expected in different jobs and also between jobs within each occupational group. Keeping this in view, on Friday,28th Sep ’18 and Saturday, 29th Sep ‘2018, an impactful workshop was conducted on “Career Guidance” for teachers and counsellor of different CBSE schools of Gujarat at DPS ,Harni,VADODARA by CBSE renowned Resource people i.e. Mr. Firdose Kapadia (Chief Mentor iQue Foundation) and Ms. PoornimaMenon (Principal , AnandVidyaVihar) as our Resource Personnel.
They began the session with detailed explanation of the terms career and work. This was covered under the broad area of ‘Perspective Building on Career Guidance’. They further elaborated on the difference between Career Guidance and Career Counseling. This was an eye opener especially for all the participants as it helped them understand the distinction between the two. The facilitator conducted an activity on ‘Need Analysis’ during this session to make the participants aware of the importance of career guidance for students. They also informed the participants of various tools available for assessment of interest and aptitude of students towards difference career options. They also drew the attention of the participants towards the process of career development and pointed out four important areas of knowing oneself, exploring the options, getting focused and taking action. The discussion then went on towards factors influencing the career choices among students. Here, variables such as personal, social, environmental were said to play pivotal roles. The first part of the workshop concluded with another activity where the participants were supposed to talk about their own dreams career wise and if they could fulfill their dreams.
The second day of the workshop was activity based which involved a lot of interaction between the participants. They showed various movie clips where different professions were displayed followed by some group activities where all the participants were divided in groups and were asked to write all the knowledge they had about the careers, transacting career information through job fairs, career quizzes, panel discussions, field trips etc., performing nukkadnatak, role play and create bulletin boards on the careers that were given to them by the facilitator. The workshop concluded with imparting useful information about the role a teacher can play in provided career guidance to the students. The workshop was informative and the information was delivered in a way that the participants could relate with. The participants were provided with hand-outs that had useful information on career guidance and counseling. The sessions were interactive which helped in exchange of relevant information among the participants. The workshop was very fruitful. All the teachers paid heartfelt tribute to the school for facilitating their knowledge in the vast field of Career Guidance. The workshop was very informative, thought provoking and a grand success. Water is necessary for the sustenance of human life. While the supply seems abundant, water is not a limitless resource, particularly the fresh potable water which is most necessary to human survival, without conservation efforts, this vital supply of water may be exhausted. With this objective, the Early Act Club conducted a Seminar on Potable Water Management for the students on 21 AUG 2018

CBSE Workshop on ‘Life skills'

A Workshop on ‘Life skill’ was conducted by CBSE under their ‘CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME at Smt. MCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan on 25 June 2018. Total 71 teachers(including teachers from host school) from all over Gujarat attended the workshop . The resource persons Ms. Rekha Shah and Dr. Anubha Negi, master trainer at CBSE, assisted the teachers to create awareness on various concepts of Life Skills (Emotional skills, Thinking skills and social skills). The aim was to assimilate and appreciate the importance of Life Skills through Self Awareness, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Interpersonal relationship, Effective Communication, Empathy, Managing Emotions, and Dealing with Stress etc. It was a great learning experience for all the teachers. Each life skill was dealt with personal and day-to-day examples. And the teachers actively participated in it. The workshop was supported by PPT presentation. It was a great attempt to make teachers understand the importance of life skill that would help them immensely in their personal and professional life. The workshop concluded by certificate distribution to all the teachers participants.

Seminar on Memory Power Magic was conducted for students of Std V- XII and their parents on 21st April by the expert trainer Sanjay Presswala which was followed by 6 days workshop for students.

The workshop focused on :
How to effectively use mnemonic techniques for rapid memorisation and recall.
Improve concentration, interest and observation.
Learn to store. information in long term memory.



Seminar on Health and Hygiene

Seminar on Health and Hygiene was held on 18th April by Abbott officials for Std VI to VIII. The objective of the seminar was to promote good hygiene habits such as right way of washing hands, brushing, etc. to keep away pathogens at bay.


SMCP SANSKAR VIDYA BHAVAN ENTHUSIASTICALLY ATTENDS PARIKSHA PAR CHARCHA BY Prime Minister MR.NARENDRA MODI

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s interactive session titled “Pariksha Par Charcha” was aired in all the schools in 16th February 2018.The students from STD VI TO STD XII and teachers along with the Principal listened to the speech and became a part of the historic event when ten crores students, teachers and parents listened to him enthusiastically. The prime minister's friendly demeanour, interesting anecdotes and his unique way of presenting serious messages coated with earthy humour ensured that the interaction stayed lively throughout the session.

His counsel to students was to focus on learning. Keep the student in one self alive forever. Pursue knowledge. Exams, results and marks — these are all by-products of that pursuit. If one works purely for marks, his true potential will never be fulfilled.

He stressed on the importance of de-focussing in order to focus and the need for children to take a break. He spoke of yoga and sports as means of de-stressing and relaxing.

This interaction with the students of the country was a remarkable exercise that would pave the way for creating a dialogue about making examinations stress-free and in the long run, inspire the makers of New India to discover their strengths and be the best that they can be.



SCORING GOOD MARKS IN EXAMINATION

On 12th oct17 a seminar on how to be a good student and score good marks in exams was organized by our school.
The resource person was Col. Yashwant Joshi an Arts graduate from Jawaharlal Nehru University & Post graduate in Defense studies, completed his doctorate in political science from M.S.University Vadodra.
He is a founder member of Unnat gram samaj nirman Kendra. He has developed and organized various youth development programs.
He believes that ‘ you cease to be a human when you cease to be a student’ and that is what he tried to convey to our students through his interaction with them. He gave few real life examples and could make the students understand the substance of life and the importance of education for them.



WORKSHOP ON POWER OF DESIRE

Members of Interact Club organised the workshop on Power of Desire for students of Std XI to XII to enable them lead a life full of desire and deal with the inner and outer constraints that block it.



TAXATION WORKSHOP

Taxation Workshop was conducted by the Dept. of the Income Tax for the students of Class-9 to 12. In the workshop Income Tax officers acquainted the students with the basic norms of taxation and explain the functioning of recently introduced tax GST. The main purpose of the workshop was to motivate the students to be active and honest tax payer in future.



SELF DEFENSE TRAINING FOR GIRLS BY THE OFFICERS OF CRIME INTELLIGENCE FORCE

The guidance in self defense gives girls the means to develop high self-esteem and self-reliance .The Interact Club of the school has taken an initiative to organize the Self Defense Training for girls from Std VII to Std XII with an objective to establish a positive personal image and further promote confidence in them.
Mr. Anurag Dubey with his Team from Crime Intelligence Force conducted a resourceful session on Self Defense whereby the girls were acquainted with basic self defense skills that would be instrumental in bringing mammoth change in their perspective and would enable them to grow both emotionally and socially.



WORKSHOP ON EFFECTIVE TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The workshop on effective methodology of teaching was conducting by Dr.M.P. Chhaya in the presence of Mrs. Chhaya and Shri Pushpa ben Patel on 17th June 2017. The workshop was started with the prayer “Tu pyar ka sagar hai”. Teachers were acquainted with different activities for children using pictures, objects and videos. Teachers were encouraged to use teaching aids and reference books. Teachers were also told to know the name and learning capacity of every students,they teach and appreciate the effort of students as and when required. The workshop focused on the doctrine of NCLB(no child left behind) and importance of dignity of labour. It was enriching experience for the fifteen teachers who attended the workshop.



RYLA WORKSHOP

As it very rightly means the rotary youth leadership awards was organized by the rotary club of Bharuch at MIPRIC sports center on 27th April where students from different schools of Bharuch had participated . There were many sessions including ‘Dare To Dream’, ‘Me & My Mobile’ , ‘Managing Change’ & ‘Overcoming Fear Of Examination’. Students of class IX & X had participated in the workshop & they came out with the winning note.



WORKSHOP AT BDMA: "Winning the Examination Battle"

A workshop for the students of Class – VIII,IX,X was organized by the school in association with the Bharuch District Management Association. On the 17th April - VIII,22nd April – IX & 27th April – X class respectively. The workshop emphasized on the topic : “Winning the Examination Battle”. The resource person was Mr.Apoorva Pandya. It turned out to be really beneficial for the students as it made them understand that success is difficult to achieve but not impossible at all.



Art Of Living Workshop


The art of living workshop was organised by Vyakti Vikas Kendra India, Bharuch. The facilitators were Ms Shreya Sonia and Ms Bhavani Thakor.

The objective of the program was to increase concentration, confidence and creativity. The values of life were taught to the children by playing games. How to respect elders, teachers and parents was taught through play way method.

3rd to 7th class students participated in this workshop.

Parents meeting with the facilitators took place on April 28th from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.

Every month follow up session will be done for art of living students & parents.


A Farm Trip


Field Trip connects school world with the outside world making it tangible and memorable. On 26.4.16 and 27.4.16 students of STD VIII and Std IX were taken to Agricultural Farm . The sole objective of organising this trip was to acquaint the students with the life of farmers who are an integral part of our society and inculcate the sense of gratitude in them for the primary sector of economy.

A farm trip to Attithi Resorts (farm house) was organised on 26th & 27th April. Children of VIII & IX standard participated in this trip.

The following activities were carried out at the site:

  • Plucking out the weed from the ground
  • Separating out dust & stones from Castor Seed
  • Removal of weeds from the ground with sickle
  • Accumulation of caster seed shells at one place
  • Children saw the cotton plants in bloom. Besides cotton, its seeds were also shown to them. They were told that these seeds are also used for making edible oil which is used in cooking of vegetables.

This trip was full of fun & children enjoyed it a lot. They also learnt how farmers work hard to provide food at our homes. They take six months to grow grains which we consume every day. The value students learnt was that we should not waste our food.

Students also realized that farmer has to work in his field in the scorching heat of summer, in rains in monsoon & in cold weather of winter. He has no holiday from it.


Scholastic Book Fair


Scholastic Book Fair was inaugurated by our Head girl Darshi Shah and headboy Jeet Shah on 29th April at 8 O’ clock. Books from lots of topics were displayed in fair, these included academic Books on different subjects, value based story books, puzzle books, drawing books and number of other subjects & topics.

Children were encouraged to browse through the books & make selections if they wanted to purchase some of these.

Different periods were allotted to different classes to visit the fair. On April 30th, parents were invited to visit the fair so that they too would browse through the books and make purchase for their kids.

The fair was run very smoothly and there was enthusiastic participation by students, teachers & parents



International Yoga Day


In an endeavour to participate actively in the International Yoga Day the school organized Yoga Sessions for all the students on 21st June 2016. The students were acquainted with the importance of Yoga. They were explained that yoga aids in maintaining not only physical and mental fitness but also a healthy social existence.

The students were taught various Aasanas starting with warming up and stretching followed by the series of Padmasana - Paschimottasans – Pawan Muktasana - Vajrasana – Dhanurasana – Chakrasana – Sarvangasana – Halasana – Bhujangasana and ending with Shavasana.

After Asanas session students were also taught the Pranayama – For Longevity


Seminar On Composite PIT Reduce,Recycle,Reuse(23/7/16)


The need of an hour is to ensure clean and healthy environment to the society. This was seriously worked upon by the members of Interact Club who organized the workshop on REDUCE, RECYCLE, REUSE. In the workshop eminent Rotarians acquainted students with the importance of clean environment and demonstrated them the way to make bio compost.

Compost pit was dug and kitchen waste and garden waste from School was dumped there by the students. Students were also asked to discard their Tiffin waste along with paper and pencil waste in the pit. The compost thus made will be used in maintaining school‘s garden.


Dramatics For STD VI & VII


Drama encompasses a number of concepts like acting, imagination, creativity, accent, voice modulation and gestation which is composite form of child centered education. It provides an environment in which each child has sense of pride of his or her contribution towards achieving a common goal. We leave no stone unturned to make sure that innate potential of each and every student is harnessed in the best possible way. Our Annual Functions provide platform to all the students to showcase their talent. Dramatics was this year’s Annual Performance assigned to Std VI and VII whereby students performed Dramas on varied themes ranging from classical to modern. Dramas staged were- Mother’s day, Dear Departed, Merchant of Venice, Christmas Carol, How I taught my grandmother to read and Bishop’s Candlestick.The audience was enthralled to see the acting skill of the students.


Workshop On Warship of Inadian NAVY


Students of 10th A and B visited Adani Port, Dahej on Dec9th 2016 to see INS- MYSORE, a warship of Indian Navy .They were escorted there by their class teacher, Miss Jayshree Gohil.

This class of ship are called Destroyer. It was made in 1999 and was imported from Russia. It is approximately 168m long and 17.5m broad.

Navy officials took the children aboard the ship and showed them the missile launchers, torpedoes and radars.

Children posed several questions; these were eagerly replied to by the Navy officials.

Students were excited to see the warship and some of them dreamt of joining Indian Navy after visiting the warship workshop.


Awareness Drives Road Show


A social awareness Road Show was jointly organised by Shrimati Maniba Chunilal Patel Sanskar Vidya Bhavan and J.B Mody Vidyalaya on 21st January,2017, Saturday. Mr. Sandeep Singh, DSP – Bharuch flagged off the rally at 7:30 a.m.The benign presence of Ms. Anita Vanani Dy.SP gave motivational start to our self awareness mission.

The campaign was held to create awareness about Environmental Conservation, need to Avoid Wastage of Food, Cleanliness and need of Self Defense among people .Over 3oo students took part in the rally with the teachers through the main avenues of Bharuch town covering Zadeshwar Road, Makhtampur Road, Kasak, Station Road and Civil hospital Road. Students raised slogans, held placards with the messages, organised talk show, staged street play and demonstrated self defense feats as they moved around in the city with motivational and theme based tableaux.

The procession culminated at the Collector’s Office with handing over the resolution to Mr. Sandeep Sagale (Collector – Bharuch)


Medicla Checkup


Second round of General medical check was done by the Government officials on 18th January for classes 1to 10th. It was done in our medical room by the doctors mentioned below.
